Episode 183: Doctor Who Postseason Report
The Showcase crew’s favorite TV show about a madman in a magic box has wrapped up its latest season, so this week they guys sit down and talk about Matt Smith‘s first 13 episodes as Doctor Who. The guys discuss the second half of the season, the questions left over at the end of the run, and toss about their theories as to the true identity of the mysterious River Song. In the picks this week, Blake applauds Roger Langridge‘s return to the art chores of The Muppet Show, Mike finds himself enjoying Time Masters: Vanishing Point #1 and Kenny branches out with Thor #611.
Episode 170: TV Talk With Lost and Doctor Who
Responding to recent requests, this week the boys talk some TV. The guys talk about the entire season of Lost just before we head into the last two episodes, including which questions have to be answered, which ones probably won’t, and predictions for the end of one of their favorite shows. Then, Blake and Daniel delve into the current series of Doctor Who — the reign of Steven Moffat and Matt Smith, why they’re loving this series so much, and what they’re looking for in the second half. Fear not though, friends, you still get a comic fix. In the picks of the week, both of the Big Two’s “new directions” are addressed. Mike goes with Brightest Day #1 (which leads into a tangent about Titans: Villains For Hire #1) and Blake takes The Heroic Age: Prince of Power #1.

Episode 99: 2008-The Year in Review
2008 ends in just days, folks, so let’s go out with a Showcase blowout! Joined by back-up geeks Mike and Kenny, the boys announce the winners of the Best of 2008 awards, as voted on by you! Then, it’s a long talk about everything that happened in comics in 2008! The Dark Knight, the rise of Marvel Studios, Diamond refuses to distribute Hack/Slash, Archie goes back to ninth grade, and a heck of a lot more. This double-sized episode is the longest Showcase ever (we promise we won’t make a habit of it)!
