Once again, Free Comic Book Day has come and gone. Blake and Erin spent the day at BSI Comics, hanging with the readers, talking about nerd stuff, and having a blast. This week, they review some of this year’s FCBD offerings and get in-depth with their thoughts on Captain America: Civil War!
And what’s cool this week? Erin is looking forward to Ron Miscavage’s book Ruthless, while Blake is doing a simultaneous read of Iron Man: Armor Wars and Captain America: The Captain!
Free Comic Book Day rolls around once again, and once again Blake and Kenny — joined for the first time by Erin — man a table at BSI Comics in Metairie. This time around the gang chats about recent events in the Flash and Gotham TV shows, give their thoughts on Divergence, All New All Different Avengers, Fight Club, Dark Circle and the other Free Comic Book Day titles, and then come back with a review of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
And what’s cool this week? Kenny is having a blast with LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Erin is totally biased and chooses her husband’s new book Everything You Need to Know to Survive English Class but slightly less biased with a viewing of the classic Akira, and Blake is still reeling from Batman #40.
After a bit of a rain delay, Blake is back with this year’s Free Comic Book Day preview! Which books is he looking forward to? Will Marvel’s wars remain a secret? Just how divergent can DC Comics get? And how can Archie Comics put out two books with no Archie?
And what’s cool this week? Blake’s having a blast with Scott Sigler’s Infected series!
Free Comic Book Day has come and gone once again! Blake and Mike hang out for a while at BSI Comics talking about the available books, DC’s Showcase series, the return of Booster Gold, changes for Star Wars‘s expanded universe and May the Fourth events under the Disney Regime, and the sad passing of Efram Zimbalist, Jr. Then, Adam from the BSI Comics Podcast hangs out for a while to talk about the challenges of a weekly title, upcoming events for Marvel and DC, and one of his favorite Time Travel stories that we didn’t talk about back in Episode 272. Finally, Blake and Kenny meet up after FCBD to watch and review The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We talk in general, then give you guys a spoiler warning before we get into the nitty gritty.
And what’s cool this week? Blake had fun with the newest relaunch from Valiant Comics, Rai #1.
