Fueled by your comments, the sibs talk about the classics of their youth, the new specials that have hit in recent years, and cross their fingers for future specials. Rankin and Bass, Disney classics, Hanna Barbera, Bob Clark, Charles Dickens and of course, Bruce Willis are all right here. In the picks, Heather simply questions the wisdom of people who have never seen A Christmas Story, while Blake recommends the indie comic Jill Chill and the Christmas Star from Cool Yule Comics.

‘Tis the season to go shopping! All the major gift-giving holidays are coming up, and the geeks of America are making their lists. This week, the boys go through some of the swag you may want to get for your gift this season: toys, books, electronics, Turtle Wax (if you’re buying things for Mike), and everything else in-between is on the list, and the guys go through it all! In the picks this week, Kenny picks Flash: Rebirth #5, Blake goes with The Web #3 and Mike doubles up with Adventure Comics #4 and his graphic novel pick, the DC Comics Classic Library edition of Batman: A Death in the Family.

2008 ends in just days, folks, so let’s go out with a Showcase blowout! Joined by back-up geeks Mike and Kenny, the boys announce the winners of the Best of 2008 awards, as voted on by you! Then, it’s a long talk about everything that happened in comics in 2008! The Dark Knight, the rise of Marvel Studios, Diamond refuses to distribute Hack/Slash, Archie goes back to ninth grade, and a heck of a lot more. This double-sized episode is the longest Showcase ever (we promise we won’t make a habit of it)! And instead of our usual picks of the week, stay tuned as our four guys pick their favorite comic books of the entire year! Next week will be the 100th Episode Spectacular!
