A few days late, thanks to Blake’s epic battle with the Computer Virus of Doom, but the Showcase is back! This week, Blake and Chase chat about the work of writer Greg Rucka, whose series Whiteout has hit the big screen. From his early work at Oni Press to works at DC and Marvel, including epic runs with the Batman family, the guys delve into all things Rucka! In the picks this week, Blake is all over G-Man: Learning to Fly, and Chase goes with Guardians of the Galaxy #17.

Episode 82: Marvel Cosmic
The Showcase boys love to argue with each other, but even they have to admit that the Cosmic Corner of the Marvel Universe is currently the place to be. The guys talk about their all-time favorite cosmic Marvel stories, how Annihilation laid the groundwork for Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy to be two of Marvel’s best comics, and the upcoming War of Kings crossover event! In the picks this week, Blake stays cosmic with the Skrulls Vs. Power Pack mini-series, while Chase cheers for Captain America #40.
Episode 77: The X-Files-Chase Wants to Believe
The summer movie season continues as the boys discuss one of Chase‘s all-time favorite TV shows, The X-Files. The guys talk about the history of the show, its history in comics, other comics in that paranormal vein, and just what they expect out of the new movie. The guys double up on their picks of the week, with Chase choosing Nova #16 and Guardians of the Galaxy #2 and Blake saying goodbye to G.I. Joe: America’s Elite and hello to Spooks: Omega Team.
Episode 69: Marvel Movie Blowout
Prepare yourself for the biggest 2 in 1 Showcase ever! With no less than five comic book movies coming out this summer and more planned for the fall, the Showcase boys decided to do a two-part episode talking about all the Marvel and DC movies to date. What neither of them expected was that both parts would be gargantuan. In this double-sized episode, the guys break down all of the Marvel films by franchise, debate the merits, and give their own rating of each and every one — and the discussion lasts longer than some of the movies! In this week’s picks, Blake loves the new Guardians of the Galaxy, while the conclusion of “Last Son of Krypton” makes Action Comics Annual Chase’s choice.
