This week, Blake and Chase talk about the character’s history in comics, his current status in DC comics, and how the legendary Will Eisner turned a guy in a blue three-piece suit into one of the most innovative superheroes ever created. In the picks this week, Blake recommends Archer and Armstrong: First Impressions, and Chase is still loving the new Flash Gordon series.

Episode 96: The Punisher

Amazing Spider-Man 129As the countdown to the huge episode 100 begins, Blake and Chase dish on Marvel’s archetypical vigilante Frank Castle, the Punisher. They delve into the characters’ history, some of their favorite stories, and the future. Then, after the episode, the guys check out the new Punisher: War Zone movie, and include their review at the end! In the picks this week, Chase liked the ending of Secret Invasion, and Blake has fallen in love with Love and Capes.

Episode 94: Overstuffed Thanksgiving Special

It’s almost Turkey Day again, and before you head out to stuff your face, listen to the boys as they discuss some of their favorite overstuffed comic books. From treasury editions like Superman Vs. the Amazing Spider-Man, to annual events like the birth of Franklin Richards and Armageddon 2001, the guys discuss the format, the pros of a big fat comic book, and some of their favorite stories. The guys talk about the worlds of Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street and the Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash crossover, plus a discussion of the best slasher series ever to come out of comics, Hack/Slash.
